This full body circuit workout is quick, effective, and fun and only 20 minutes. This workout will work your arms, your core, and your back! Full body workouts are my favorite because you get to work every major muscle group in your body with it. Which means, you’re burning lots of calories during the workout, but also after the workout too!
This workout has no repeating movements to keep things interesting throughout the entire 20 minutes.
The format for this workout is five circuits, with four movements in each circuit.
You’ll need a set of light and medium dumbbells. For reference, I used a set of 5’s and 10’s for the workout.
I structured it with a cardio movement to start, two strength training exercises, and then a cardio movement to finish that circuit.
Each movement will run for 45 seconds with a 15 second break in between. So go as easy or as hard as you need to during each movement! I strategically would use the strength training exercises to catch my breathe and bring my heart rate back down.
You’ll see movements that include the following:
Squat Jack
Right Leg Reverse Lunge w/ Hammer Curl
Crisscross Elbow to Opposite Knee
Standing Right Side Oblique Crunch
Low Squat Jumps
Right Side Lunge w/ Single Arm Row
I didn’t include a structured warm up for this workout as the first movement is a cardio movement and instantly will get your heart rate up, but there is a nice cool down at the end. Make sure you don’t skip the cool down as it’s so important to stretch and bring your heart rate down slowly after you workout!
